The Transformation
Artisan Espace Design designed this bathroom around Ceppa Grey 24×24 in. tiles, a tile whose shades of dark gray and subtle variations in texture evoke natural slate with a very contemporary elegance. These tiles cover the shower walls and the floor, unifying the space under a single mineral palette.
In contrast, warm wooden elements—the vanity and shelves—temper the austerity of the gray and infuse the space with a sense of softness. Accents of brushed gold brass, found in the faucets and accessories, punctuate the design with a touch of luxury without being over the top.
The combination of these three elements—stone, wood, and metal—creates a pleasant, sophisticated tension that defines the bathroom’s overall aesthetic.
The Result
This bathroom in Sainte-Julie is a successful example of balance among materials. The gray of the tiles, the warmth of the wood, and the subtle sheen of the brass come together to create a luxurious, cohesive, and deeply human space.
