The Renovation
The owners of this house in Longueuil were living with a bathroom dating back to the 1990s: beige ceramic tile on the floor, a worn-out built-in bathtub, and a glaring lack of storage. Their wish was simple—to rediscover the desire to spend time there.
L’Artisan Espace Design redesigned the space from the ground up. The bathtub was replaced with a walk-in shower featuring large-format marble-effect ceramic tiles and a frameless glass partition to maximize natural light. The wall-mounted double vanity in white oak frees up floor space and creates an immediate sense of visual lightness.
The choice of a backlit recessed niche in the shower replaces freestanding shelves—a detail that makes all the difference in everyday life. The matte black faucets add just the right amount of character to the overall design, without falling into fleeting trends.
The result
As soon as you walk through the door, you forget you’re in an ’80s bungalow. The sense of space has doubled, and the owners admit they spend much more time there than before—exactly the effect they were looking for.
