The Transformation
Artisan Espace Design completely clad the perimeter of the fireplace with large-format 24×48-inch porcelain tiles, a choice that gives the space a distinct architectural character. The tiles, with their size and the continuity of their veining, transform the fireplace into a sculptural element in its own right.
Custom cutting ensured the exact proportions of the layout were maintained, with no visible joints at critical corners. The smooth, slightly glossy texture of the porcelain captures the light from the fire and gently diffuses it throughout the room, accentuating the warm glow of the flames.
The installation required our artisans to carefully plan the layout of the tiles so that the material’s veins would align harmoniously from one room to the next.
The Result
This home in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville has become exactly what its owners hoped for: a visual focal point for the living room, a stone surface that interacts with the flames and gives the entire room a timeless and generous character.
