- Our Specialty
The largest selection of ceramics on the South Shore
At Artisan Espace Design, ceramics aren’t just a side offering—they take up more than three-quarters of our showroom. Large-format marble-effect porcelain, wood-effect tiles, decorative mosaics, cement tiles, kitchen backsplashes—you can see it all, touch it all, and compare it all in one place.
Our consultants will guide you toward the size, finish, and color that truly suit the room, its layout, and its lighting. Once your selection is finalized, our installers take over: surface preparation, layout planning, installation, and grouting. A single point of contact, from the first sample to the very last ceramic tile installed.

- Your Questions, Our Answers
What Our Customers
Ask About Most Often
How much do ceramic tiles cost, including the material and installation?
The price is calculated per square foot and depends on three factors: the material chosen, the condition of the surface to be prepared, and the complexity of the installation. Standard-sized ceramic tiles laid in a straight pattern are significantly less expensive than large-format porcelain tiles laid in a herringbone pattern. Our quotes itemize materials, labor, and accessories separately, so you know exactly where every dollar is going. Estimates are free and non-binding.
What are the delivery and installation times?
Items in stock are available immediately. Special orders typically take two to four weeks. As for installation, a full bathroom usually takes three to five days, and an open-concept floor takes two to four days. We’ll confirm the schedule in writing before work begins so you can coordinate the rest of your project.
Do your installations come with a warranty?
Yes. We work exclusively with certified materials, and our workmanship is guaranteed. In showers and on heated floors, we consistently use recognized waterproofing and decoupling membranes: this is precisely what prevents cracks and leaks from appearing two years down the line. If you’re not satisfied with any aspect of the work upon delivery, we’ll fix it.
What is the difference between ceramic and porcelain?
Porcelain is a type of ceramic fired at a higher temperature using a denser clay. As a result, it absorbs very little water, is more resistant to impact and wear, and is suitable for both high-traffic floors and showers. Traditional ceramic tile, which is lighter and often more affordable, remains an excellent choice for walls and backsplashes. Our consultants will guide you based on the room’s actual use rather than current trends.
Which tile should you choose for a bathroom floor?
Choose porcelain tiles with a slip resistance rating suitable for wet surfaces and a size that minimizes the number of grout lines in a small room. For the shower floor, mosaic tiles are still recommended: their numerous grout lines improve traction and allow them to follow the slope toward the drain. The technical specifications for each product are displayed right in the showroom.
Can ceramic tile be installed over a heated floor?
Yes, and it’s actually the ideal flooring material: ceramic conducts and distributes heat much better than wood or vinyl. However, installation requires a decoupling membrane and a mortar designed to withstand temperature fluctuations. We regularly install underfloor heating systems under ceramic tile in bathrooms on the South Shore.
How many tiles should I order?
Calculate the exact area, plus a 10% allowance for cuts—increased to 15% for diagonal or herringbone installation. We also recommend keeping a few tiles from the same production batch after the installation is complete: colors vary slightly from one batch to another, and this will make any future repairs much easier.
Do you serve Brossard, Longueuil, and the surrounding areas?
Yes. Our showroom serves Brossard, Longueuil, Saint-Lambert, La Prairie, Candiac, Sainte-Catherine, Greenfield Park, and the entire South Shore of Montreal. Showroom consultations and in-home measurements are offered free of charge throughout this area, whether your project involves just a few square meters of ceramic tile or a complete renovation.
